Just wanted to update on the recent changes in our household (no, I didn't have a baby, we aren't moving). We had a fantastic, though busy summer. Just making a note for myself: you might think the summer will be relaxing, laid back, and calm, but you are wrong. It's still plenty busy, just busy in a different way. This summer we played at swim lessons and tennis lessons; had camping trips with both families (whew...sometimes having both families here is busy); saw family that visited from Texas, Virginia/Indianna (they moved over the summer), Iowa, and Cedar City; and we played more with cousins; celebrated Matthew's birthday right in the middle of 2 busy holidays. Mostly I felt a little crazy, but it was a good crazy. We took advantage of the last day of summer and rode the Frontrunner to the Gateway and played in the water fountain there (the one that specifically asks you to exit during the watershows but everyone rushes into play), played at the Planetarium, and ate lunch (in between our ride on the Trax train and the Frontrunner). We spent the afternoon trying to soak up the last of summer laziness, doing nothing that was productive. Ahh, summer!

The kids really loved the water...we got there early--about 10 am and there was nobody there. It was a lot of fun to have the place to ourselves! Matthew was definitely the boldest--and the wettest!
When it's all over...you warm up on the hot concrete!
Now school is back in session (it's been in since the 24th). Owen and I are trying to keep busy until Preschool starts for him next week (and then we'll have to keep busy since Holly will be gone all day with the other kids). Everyone is happy and loves their teachers (Holly has 3 teachers...one for English the first 1/2 of the day and 2 for French in the afternoon. One of them is actually a native of France who came over with her husband and 2 children for this internship.) So far, so good and it's nice to remember what it's like to have some time to myself (did I just say time to myself? well, at least time to run errands without complaining, running wildly in the aisles, and mom getting mad--now I just run wildly in the aisles without anyone complaining or getting mad at me ;).

Waiting for the bus...
And they're off!
